GRACE EGBAGBE AND PAUL ADEFARASIN HONORED @ VANGUARD ALLUE STYLE ICON AWARD

Allure, a special style pull-out from the stable of Vanguard Newspaper hosted Barrister Grace Egbagbe and Pastor Paul Adefarasin, who was represented by one of the co-pastors in House of the Rock, Dr Austin Ebeneme, to a classy event having emerged as the Allure Style Icon 2010. Interestingly the duo, were also the winner last year at the maiden edition of the award.
The award nite took place on May 30, 2010 at the Atlantic Beach Center own by Erelu Abiola Dosunmu. The event kicked off with opening remarks by the Fashion Editor of Allure, Remi Diagbere who spoke on why the team is honoring Barrister Grace Egbabge and Pastor Paul Adefarasin. According to her, they were not celebrating them only because of their powerful dress sense alone, but also because of their contribution to the glamour industry as well. They have become a role model to the younger generation and their life has been a shinning light to others. And this made them a perfect candidate for the Style Icon Award. Their emergence wasn’t as a result of being Allure favorite as they were actually voted in by the readers after a list of outstanding and stylish women and men.
The evening was not only about awards as it was also packed with high loads of entertainment to thrill the guests. The event which was compered by Patrick Doyle had Tosin Band as the official band to entertain the guests at interval. Also Olumide Dada, did what he knows how to do best with his baritone voice. Ex-Beauty Queen, Helen Prest Ajayi also gave a short talk on style. And the height of the evening was a fashion show by award winning designer, Frank Osodi and one of the latest entrants into the fashion industry, Monash. They both dazzled the guests with their exquisite collections.
Notable among those who made it to the event to celebrate with these style icons were,
Nkiru Animudu, Joan Okpara, Bryan Okpara, Prince Idowu Oyefusi, Nikky Khiran, Kate Henshaw, Patricia Egbagbe, Helen Ajayi, Erelu Abiola Dosunmu, Folorunsho Alakija, Sam Amaga (the publisher of Vanguard Newspaper), Gbenga Adefaye(GM Publication/EIC of Vanguard Media Ltd) amongst others.
