Yeni Kuti, the eldest daughter of the Afro-beat Fela Anikulapo was 50 years of age on May 24, 2010 and she decided to throw a big party to celebrate this milestone. The party which took place at The Shrine was witnessed by family, friends and colleagues.
It was a party that was attended by the crème-de-la crème in the society. Beyond the celebration, Yeni needs a thumb up, because at 50, she looks far younger than her age. It was a big surprise to most people when they heard that this dancing queen will be marking her birthday. She is a typical example of a woman who is aging naturally and beautifully. Most celeb women should obviously take a clue from Yeni.

Ex- Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Mowunmi Akinnifesi is on vacation. She left the country a couple of days ago as she is having a swell time with her sister who she traveled along with. She has been shuttling between London, Boston, Los Angeles and Vegas lately.

Rihanna is known for her love of tattoos and so far has at least 14 etchings on her skin. But the Bajan beauty has seemingly got addicted to inking and may be adding to her collection. The 23-year-old visited a tattoo parlor in New York yesterday and seemed to be on a mission to get a new design.
Rihanna wore a short-sleeved long black dress with a thigh-high split. She dressed down her ensemble with flat black sneakers and carried a large denim Prada bag.
Her long flame hair cascaded over her shoulders in wavy curls and she carried a red rose that a fan gave her just before she entered the store.
It's not yet known what the feisty star had done but it will only be a matter of time before she shows it off if she had a new one added.

1. Music note on her ankle
2. Pisces sign behind her right ear
3. Sanskrit prayer down her hip
4. Star in her left ear
5. The word 'love' on her left middle finger
6. Arabic phrase on her ribcage meaning 'Freedom is God'
7. A trail of stars on the back of her neck
8. A skull with pink hair bown on her ankle

10. The date '4.11.1986' on top of her left shoulder
11. A henna-style dragon claw with hibiscus flower
12. Handgun on her rib cage
13. 'Never a failure, always a lesson' on her décolletage
14. 'Rebelle Fleur' which means rebellious flower on her neck

Marilyn Monroe sent men's hearts a-flutter when she stepped out of the cinema - and onto a Subway grate - in her beautiful white dress in The Seven Year Itch.
And a movie memorabilia collector is giving you a chance to do the same - if you cough up a couple of million dollars first.
The pleated halter neck dress is being sold in an auction of iconic film costumes and is expected to fetch up to $2 million.
Other lots include Judy Garland's costume from The Wizard of Oz, Audrey Hepburn's Ascot dress from My Fair Lady and Julie Andrews' clothes from The Sound of Music.
All belong to actress Debbie Reynolds who is selling off her entire memorabilia collection, of 3,500 items, in Beverly Hills on June 18.
Reynolds, 79, who is Carrie Fisher's mother, starred in Singin' in the Rain and The Unsinkable Molly Brown, and has been buying old film costumes for more than 50 years.
She got more serious about her collection in 1970 when MGM announced it was going to auction off everything except its properties.
The actress offered $5 million for all the costumes, scripts, props and music. But the Hollywood movie studio sold everything to an auctioneer for about the same price.
So Reynolds bought selected items from them instead.
Over the years she has collected items including the bowler hat Charlie Chaplin wore in Tramp and Barbra Streisand's sleeveless gold jeweled gown from Hello, Dolly -- said to be the most expensive dress ever made for a film.
The gown, designed by Travilla, is no longer quite as white as when Marilyn wore it. But has boning that was sewn in by hand to create a built-in bra.
Reynolds' whole collection was supposed to be displayed in a museum but that project fell through, so she decided to sell the lot.
She said: 'I'm heartbroken. I don't want to see the collection broken up. It should stay intact.
'It's a real shame but that's the way it's going to be.'
The collection will be on view to the public at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills early next month.

As night falls across the globe, it looks like Heaven must wait for the 'Rapture' believers.
The deadline has passed, so we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief because it looks as though the world will not be coming to an end in the UK.Ever since dawn broke in the Pacific this morning, a select few have been counting down the hours to 6pm in their respective time zones. For this is when the world would end and believers in the 'Rapture' would finally be on their way to heaven.
But with night falling across the globe it looks like the doomsday message from Harold Camping, an 89-year-old retired civil engineer was, well, wrong.
And for Twitter followers it was time to point this out and for sceptic revellers to chill the champagne for tonight's 'Rapture' parties celebrating that the world is still turning
One of Camping's followers who must be just a tad disappointed is Michael Garcia.
After spending months travelling the country to put up Judgment Day billboards and hand out Bible tracts, he planned to spend Friday evening with his family at home in Alameda, near the Christian media empire's Oakland headquarters.
'We know the end will begin in New Zealand and will follow the sun and roll on from there,' said Garcia, a 39-year-old father of six. 'That's why God raised up all the technology and the satellites so everyone can see it happen at the same time.'
Camping has built a multi-million-dollar non-profit ministry based on his apocalyptic prediction. They believe the end of the world today will likely start as it becomes 6pm in the world's various time zones.Unfortunately for Mr Garcia - but fortunately for New Zealanders - the world kept on turning.
Shortly after 6pm online users were mocking the predictions.
'Harold Camping's 21st May Doomsday prediction fails; No earthquake in New Zealand," read one posting on Twitter.
'If this whole end-of-the-world thingy is still going on ... it's already past 6.00 in New Zealand and the world hasn't ended,' said another.
Camping's radio stations, TV channels, satellite broadcasts and website are controlled from a humble building on the road to the Oakland International Airport, sandwiched between an auto shop and a fortune teller. Family Radio International's message has been broadcast in 61 languages.
Camping, however, will be awaiting Jesus Christ's return for the second time. He said his earlier apocalyptic prediction in 1994 didn't come true because of a mathematical error.
'I'm not embarrassed about it. It was just the fact that it was premature,' he said last month. But this time, he said, 'there possibility that it will not happen'.
Sceptics are planning Rapture-themed parties to celebrate what hosts expect will be the failure of the world to come to an end.
Bars and restaurants from Melbourne, Australia to the Florida Keys advertised bashes.
In Oakland, atheists planned a gathering at a local Masonic temple to include group discussions on 'The Great Success of Past Apocalypses,' followed by dinner and music.
Camping and his followers believe the beginning of the end will come on May 21, exactly 7,000 years since the flood in the biblical story of Noah's Ark.
Some 200million people will be saved, Camping preaches, and those left behind will die in earthquakes, plagues, and other calamities until Earth is consumed by a fireball on October 21.
In the Philippines, a big billboard of Family Radio ministry in Manila warned of Judgment Day. Earlier this month, group members there distributed leaflets to motorists and carried placards warning of the end of the world.
Christian leaders from across the spectrum have widely dismissed the prophecy, but one local church is concerned that Camping's followers could slip into a deep depression come Sunday.
As May 21 drew nearer, followers say donations grew, allowing Family Radio to spend millions of dollars on more than 5,000 billboards and 20 RVs plastered with the doomsday message.
Camping, a civil engineer who once ran his own construction business, plans to spend the day with his wife in Alameda, in northern California, and watch doomsday unfold on television.
'I'll probably try to be very near a TV or a radio or something,' he said.
'I'll be interested in what's happening on the other side of the world as this begins.'
His prediction has been dismissed as 'flat-out wrong' by one leading Christian author, who has accused Camping of abusing the current climate of fear rendered by natural disasters to make money.
'Nobody knows the exact day when these things are going to happen,' Steve Wohlberg, who has written more than two dozen books about the End of Days, told the New York Daily News.
'They're looking at all of these disasters and everything that's going on in the planet, and this is creating a climate of deep interest in Biblical prophecy.
'In my mind, Harold Camping has quite an account to render with God when judgment day comes.'
