Music act, Wale Adepoju, popularly known as W4 is riding on the success of his new single, “Wa Gba Kontrol” and he is not stopping at anything to stabilize himself in his new found status.
The Fela protégé who launched himself into the mainstream few months back is set for the release of his debut album, “Mr Wonda”.
According to what we gathered, W4 is in top spirit as plans are now in the final stage. And he feels strongly that the pace that the single, “Wa Gba Kontrol” set gives him an edge. There are indications that he might launch a clothing line, so things are really looking up for him this period.
It would be recalled that W4 took a bold step of revamping his career with the release of "Wa Gba Kontrol" and a video to boost the acceptance. He had been in the  industry since early 2000 working with big names like 2Face and Sound Sultan. After a stint with 2Face's Hypertek Sound, Sound Sultan's Naija Ninja and Toni Payne's management, he went through repackaging and that obviously helped catapult him to the mainstream.

There are LOTS of ways to ruin a date. Here are a few things NOT to say on a date.

  • Nice outfit. Is that a Genie bra?
  • I really don’t like this restaurant that much, but I wanted to use this 2-for-1 coupon before it expired.
  • No wine for me tonight. My urologist says it’s not good to mix alcohol and penicillin.
  • I used to come here all the time with my ex.
  • I never said you NEED a nose job. I just said it wouldn’t hurt to consider it.
  • Could you excuse me? My dog gets lonely if he doesn’t hear my voice on the answering machine every hour.
  • I feel that I’ve really grown in the past few years. Used to be, I wouldn’t have given someone like you a second look.
  • I know you said you don’t eat anything with a face. But a good butcher will cut that part off for you if you ask.
  • It’s been tough, but I’ve come to accept that most people I date just won’t be as smart as I am.

Have you heard any good (bad) lines while out on a date? Feel free to share them with us!

Libby Cooper looks like any proud older sister

Parents Nadine and Martin Cooper

Beaming with delight as she cradles two new additions to her family, Libby Cooper looks like any proud older sister. But in reality three-year-old Libby and the newborn girls are actually triplets, born almost four years apart.
All three girls were conceived at the same time during IVF treatment, but while Libby was born in May 2008, her sisters Neeve and Maddie did not arrive until earlier this month.
Parents Nadine and Martin Cooper told of their delight at their extraordinary triplets yesterday, years after doctors warned they might never have children.
Mrs Cooper, 38, said: ‘It’s a bit surreal having triplets who are different ages but we can already see the resemblances between them.
When we started fertility treatment I never imagined we would have one child, let alone three. It’s a dream come true.’ The Coopers married in June 2005 and started trying for a family, but were devastated when doctors warned they might not be able to conceive.
The nurse and her engineer husband went for medical tests and learned they both had fertility problems.
Mrs Cooper said: ‘We went for tests after we’d been trying for 18 months with no luck. Martin was found to have low mobility and low motility in his sperm count and I was told I wasn’t producing very good quality eggs, so our chances of conceiving were low.
‘It was very upsetting but we weren’t prepared to give up on our dream of having a family and we started looking into other options.’
The couple decided to try to conceive using IVF and in August 2007 they paid £6,000 for a private cycle of the fertility treatment to avoid the NHS waiting list.
Six embryos were created and one was implanted immediately, while another four were frozen for possible use in the future.
The couple were warned they might have to undergo several cycles of IVF but were thrilled when Mrs Cooper fell pregnant on their first attempt, and Libby was born in May 2008

No reason was however given by the two sides. In a statement jointly signed, they admitted to continue to support one another and make sure the relationship remains cordial as possible.
Knighthouse CEO, Rogba Arimoro said the label is proud of what it has achieved with the act in over half a decade, adding that “We wish her very well in all her future endeavours”.
The crooner in her own statement, said, “I am moving on the search for other opportunities, while still maintaining a close personal relationship with Knighthouse”.
Meanwhile, there are different reports on why Mo’Cheddah ended her three year working relationship with the record label that discovered and nurtured her to stardom. One report claimed that Mo’Cheddah has grown increasingly greedy and that a financial disagreement is responsible for the break-up.

Classified ads are a major source of customers for small businesses, even in today's digital world. If you need to find someone to repair your computer, write a resume, fix your dishwasher, or take down that huge tree that looks like it's splitting, what do you do?
Chances are you'll look at classified ads in one form or another to find a service provider to get the work done. You may look at the ads in your weekly shopper-type publication or weekly town newspaper. And, you'll probably online.
No matter what media classified ads are viewed through, these small text ads are a significant source of customers for many home-based and small businesses. An inexpensive three- or four-line ad placed in print, in an online yellow pages ad, or through search engines can deliver customers who need your product or service now. More importantly, if the ad is run regularly, it builds future business by making your name familiar and establishing your credibility.
Although classified ads are brief, getting good results from them takes some thought.  A well-written ad placed in the wrong publication or displayed online to the entire country won’t bring in much business.  A poor headline or a poorly written ad, no matter how carefully placed, is a waste of money.
To get the most mileage out of your classified advertising dollars, keep these suggestions in mind when you write and place your ad.

As the brains behind the America's Next Top Model franchise, we already knew Tyra Banks was more than just a pretty face. Now the model and mogul has defied any remaining doubters by graduating from Harvard Business School.
While the rest of the style set was in New York for Fashion Week, the 38-year-old was in Boston, Massachusetts, collecting her diploma.
Tyra Banks, who enrolled in the Owner/President Management Program in 2010, tweeted a photo of herself at the event on February 17.
She wrote: 'On stage at my Harvard Business School graduation! Lil blurry but SUCH an exciting moment 4 me & wanted 2 share w/u!'
Wearing a strappy black dress and towering heels, she was likely one of the most glamorous graduates.
But it seems, as the founder of Bankable Enterprises, she was one of the students to most impress her professors too.

Yeah! I know. Breakouts and acne are the worst nightmare of everyone; especially the ladies. Most times, we wonder: ‘how does a pimple form?’ Well, that’s an easy one to answer: clogged pores, oil and bacteria. Put these three in a mix and you have the perfect recipe for pimples.

The pore, which is the opening of the hair follicle, becomes clogged with dirt, oil and dead skin cells. Bacteria feed off the oil in the clogged pore and attract white blood cells to the area. Your body then responds to this inflammation causing the redness and swelling associated with pimples.

Females with active oil glands and large pores are also prone to breakouts and blackheads. Other causes of acne are stress, hormones, bad cosmetics, birth control pills and other medications.

The eternal question: ‘how do I get rid of them?’ well I have some few tips for you. You can stop the breakout cycle by attacking each element that contribute to breakouts and enjoy a clearer complexion.

The world is still mourning d death of one of the most talented singer, Whitney Houston, who died at Beverly Hilton Hotel in California on February 11, 2012 @ d age of 48.
Since her death, all her fans and family won’t get off her ex-husband’s back. Bobby Brown has been accused of been responsible for her death since he introduced her to drugs which eventually wrecked her life.
And right now, most  matured single ladies now use Bobby and Whitney’s story to console themselves and the fact that its better to be single than to end up with the wrong guy.
But the question that has been on my mind since I heard about her death and the accusations is that, did Bobby really kill Whitney? They separated in 2006 and family and friends have been praying for her to go straight.
Moreover, Whitney spent her last moments with her new lover, Ray J.
Going down the memory lane and checking out the men Whitney dated in the past, I can’t help but ask myself this question – Will Whitney be alive today if she had married one of the other guys she dated?
Let’s take a look at the men in Whitney’s life; plus the role they played. Do you think the other men would have been a better choice?

When you're starting a new business, the last thing you want to focus on is failure. But if you address the common reasons for failure up front, you'll be much less likely to fall victim to them yourself. Here are the top 7 reasons why businesses fail and tips for avoiding them.
According to statistics published by the Small Business Administration (SBA), seven out of ten new employer establishments survive at least two years and 51 percent survive at least five years. This is a far cry from the previous long-held belief that 50 percent of businesses fail in the first year and 95 percent fail within five years.
Better success rates notwithstanding, a significant percentage of new businesses do fail. Expert opinions abound about what a business owner should and shouldn't do to keep a new business afloat in the perilous waters of the entrepreneurial sea. There are, however, key factors that -- if not avoided -- will be certain to weigh down a business and possibly sink it forevermore.

The black velvet dress worn by Whitney in Body Guard

Up for grab: A brown satin waist coat

A pair of pearl drop earrings worn by Whitney in the movie

Some Whitney Houston's most prized possessions are set to go under the hammer at an auction next month.
Items up for sale include a pair of earrings, a brown satin waistcoat and a black velvet dress she wore in the 1992 movie The Bodyguard.
Julien's Auctions boss Darren Julien has defended the decision to hold the sale - which will take place at the Hollywood Legends auction on March 31 - so shortly after the singer's death.
He told the Associated Press: 'It proves a point that these items, they're an investment. You buy items just like a stock. Buy at the right time and sell at the right time, and they just increase in value.'
Mr Julien went on to say the auction would be a celebration of Houston, who was found dead in the bathtub of her Beverly Hilton hotel suite a week ago.
He said: 'It's a celebration of her life. If you hide these things in fear that you're going to offend someone - her life is to be celebrated.
'These items are historic now that she passed. They become a part of history. They should be in museums. She's lived a life and had a career that nobody else has ever had.
'For people who are fans of Whitney Houston and never would have had a chance to meet her and never got to talk to her, these are items that literally touched a part of her life.
'They are a way to relate to her or be a part of her life without having known her.'
Meanwhile, Whitney's family have ensured the hotel room she died in has been meticulously stripped of any memorabilia to prevent anyone selling the items to profit out of her death.

To get over someone you love, there are no easy answers.
No matter how ready you might think you are to move on and get over that person, it’s probably going to be a painful process.
Sometimes it’s a slow process, too.
You might believe you are over your lost love and then a year or two later be reminded of that person and feel all the pain and sadness again.
That doesn’t mean you’re not over the person, though.
If you’ve invested emotionally into a relationship and it ends, it’s something that can potentially make you feel sad for years. Maybe even for the rest of your life. But that doesn’t mean the sadness has to be paralyzing or has to throw you into a depression.
By getting over the person, you can realize that losing them made you sad, and look back on it as you would any sad loss. It’s the period of time soon after the loss that should be the hardest, that makes you ask how to get over someone you love.
If the break-up is new, often the only way to deal with it is just to face the pain and ride it out.

Annie Macaulay
Few weeks back, news filtered like wild fire that multiple award-winning singer, Innocent Ujah Idibia popularly known as Tuface was said to be expecting his sixth child, having impregnated his ex-girlfriend, Pero Adeniyi, the third time.
And on Valentine’s Day (February 14, 2012), there was another shocker as he proposed to his long-term girlfriend and mother of one of his children (daughter – Isabella), Annie Macaulay at Jay Jay Okocha’s Club 10 in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Annie and Tuface have been dating on and off for a decade and she appeared in his breakthrough solo video “African Queen”.
Tuface took Annie to a quiet section of the club, he knelt down and told her “He knows that they have had their ups and downs but it will be his heart’s desire for her to marry him” and then presented the dazzling ring and Annie began screaming “YES, YES, YES”. She also broke down and wept profusely, she had been kept in the dark about the plan for the night.

I've talked to plenty of entrepreneurs who are just barely eking by right now. One of the most common complaints I hear from long-time business owners is "referrals alone are just not enough anymore".
What's really interesting is that most of them aren't doing anything different to market and grow their businesses, even though the marketplace has clearly changed.
On the other hand, I know other small business owners who've experienced unprecedented growth this year. I'm talking growth that would be considered stellar in a good economy. Even my own revenues have almost doubled again this year.
So, what are successful entrepreneurs doing differently? Based on my experience and observations here's a list of 9 things successful small business owner are doing that you can do too.

A federal judge ordered life in prison Thursday for a young Nigerian man who turned away from a privileged life and tried to blow up a packed international flight with a bomb concealed in his underwear.
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who has said he was on a suicide mission for al-Qaida, was the same defiant man who four months ago pleaded guilty to all charges related to Northwest Airlines Flight 253. He seemed to relish his mandatory sentence and defended his actions as rooted in the Muslim holy book, the Quran.
"Mujahideen are proud to kill in the name of God. And that is exactly what God told us to do in the Quran," he said. "Today is a day of victory."

Susan Yusuf popularly known as Suzy Q was ruthlessky stabbed to death in her flat on the 6th floor of Block D, 1004 Flats, Victoria Island, Lagos on Friday, February 10, 2012 .
The owner of SQ club on the Island was stabbed at three specific places- the right and left arm and the right side of the stomach by her friend and personal assistant simply known as Idris Muhammed over issues yet to be ascertained.
Contrary to reports that Susy Q and Idris were lovers, we can authoritatively tell you that its not true. She trusted him as an aide. She never entertained guests in her house aside her trusted aides. Moreover, Suzy Q ex-lover was a white guy but they call it quit last year.
According to what we gathered, Suzy Q called Idris around 8pm on that fateful day in preparation for the night club activities. Few minutes later, neighbors and security guards manning Flat D heard her cry for help. Thinking she was being raped, they ran up to her flat but met the door under lock and key. They forced the door open and met her in a pool of her blood. While two of the security guards were attending to her, others rushed into the room in a bid to arrest Idris, who attempted to make a gateaway by jumping from the backside of the 6th floor. He was said to have slipped and hit his head on the ground floor, shattering his head and he gave up the ghost instantly.
The security guards and kind hearted neighbors took both bodies to the Military Hospital, Ikoyi, Lagos. They were however; referred to Military Hospital, Yaba, Lagos before Suzy Q gave up the ghost. The corpses were deposited at the mortuary of the Military Hospital, Yaba, Lagos.
May her soul rest in peace!!!
