TEXT: Ezra 3:3-4

Just because ordinary people take steps to accomplish extraordinary things does not mean that they do not feel fear. I believe the Old Testament hero Esther felt fear when she was asked to leave her familiar, comfortable life and enter the king's harem so she could be used by God to save her nation. I believe Joshua felt fear when, after Moses died, he was given the job of taking the Israelites into the Promised Land. I know I had fear when God called me to quit my job and prepare for ministry. I still remember my knees shaking and my legs feeling so weak that I thought I would fall down. I remember the fear I felt then, but it frightens me more now to think of how my life would have turned out had I not faced the fear and pressed forward to do God's will.

Fear does not mean you are a coward. It only means that you need to be willing to feel the fear and do what you need to do anyway.

Pray: Lord, thank You for the many examples in Your Word of individuals who stepped forward in faith despite their fears. Help me to do the same. Amen.

From the book The Confident Woman Devotional by Joyce Meyer.

Inspired by true events... A set of everyday Nigerian traveller's board the last Flamingo Airways flight scheduled to fly from Lagos to Abuja on a fateful Friday night in 2006. The plane cruises at 30,000 feet, tranquil and on schedule. But like a bolt out of the blue, through a mixture of human error, technical failure and sheer bad luck, the plane rapidly develops major difficulties that send it teetering to the brink of disaster. As the pilots fight with the controls of the stricken aeroplane, a series of flashbacks unravel the twists, turns and leaps of fate that put each passenger on the fateful flight.
Young lovers, an elderly couple, a corporate party, a sportsman on the threshold of greatness, all passengers are caught up in the nightmare scenario and sense the final moments of their lives approach.
All...except one! What does he know? Will they survive...the Last Flight to Abuja?

Oluwatoniloba David Obafemi was kidnapped by Comfort Amos on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at RCCG, Central Parish, Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse II, Abuja.
Comfort Amos is a member of the church choir where Timothy Taiwo Obafemi (Toni's Father) is the Deputy HOD of the choir. Comfort Amos unusually sat where the nursing mothers sat in church on Sunday and particularly sat beside Mariah Toyin Obafemi (Toni's mother), who is also a Sunday School teacher.
Comfort carried and played with Toniloba and after some minutes requested that she wanted to go give her house-help money for 'offering' in the children's church. She left with Toniloba.

After some minutes, Toyin got unsettled and decided to go look for Comfort. All efforts to track Comfort has since proven abortive.
Wole Shonibare, a church member called Comfort and she confirmed she was in Jabi Park and when she was advised to return the baby, she snapped back at him that she will return the baby. All efforts to speak with Comfort after that have been fruitless. Toni is 9months old while Comfort is 40/41 years old.
She was last tracked to Shendam, Plateau State.

Linda Ikeji put up a post on her blog asking people to help this little baby called Kelechi with a hole in the heart and paralysis on his left hand. She reported that the baby needed about N4 million for quick surgery in India and a lot of people came to his aid.
The money was raised through Kelechi's father's account and the shocking part of it is that the said father squandered the money...all of it!. He has been arrested and currently at Ikoyi Prisons pending when he's able to post N500k bail. The Commissioner of Police signed the petition against him through the PPRO's office. He will be charged to court soon.
Reports reaching us has it that the baby is still sick and has not been treated...and this is so sad. How a father can do this to his own sick child.Truly sad!!!

We Will keep you updated about this case...

So many of the women I meet in their 30s who are successful, interesting and accomplished find themselves alone. They have friends. They have social skills and they are desirable. But the whole dating drama has them in a tizzy. Often their primary strategies for meeting potential mates includes: internet dating, going to parties and bars with friends or getting fixed up with people who come recommended, but so often these attempts end with high expectations and disappointment. Their collective refrain seems to be, "I'll never meet Mr.Right!".
We present to you 10 Tips for Finding Mr. Right:

The most important thing is to be Ms. Right yourself. Finding the right man is not going to change you into a better person than you already are. If you are lazy and self-centered, finding a generous hard working fellow is not going to transform you. If you are boring and a one-dimensional person, finding an intellectually challenging man is not going to change who you are. Learn how to be interesting, kind, caring, and unselfish. Model yourself after women you admire. Work hard at changing your character defects. Become more well rounded. Complete your education. Get a hobby. Volunteer and expose yourself to people who are less-fortunate than you are. Travel abroad. Learn some humility by volunteering to serve others. Take a listening class. Get some counseling if you need to learn to be assertive or how to share your feelings. If you have some childhood traumas deal with them now, with someone who can give you professional help. Learn to be happy with yourself, first. No man, no matter how right is going to make you happy. You will only be happy in your new relationship if you are happy inside first.

The organisers of the most talked about musical concert of last year, TOP10MICS, Koga Studios have taken off form where they left it as they bring the second edition of the highly publicized concert again this year but this time, to the exquisite Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event of last year was a huge success as it featured top notch entertainers in their respective genres of music such as the African Queen Crooner, 2face Idibia, Trybesmen Chief Executive, Eldee Tha Don, EME Recording Artiste, Wizkid, Chocolate City Act, MI, P Square, Mocheedah, Afrobeat Maestro, Femi Kuti, Port Harcourt’s First Son, Duncan Mighty, Afro Juju Exponent, Sir Shina Peters and Omo Rapala Himself, Abass Akande Obesere. The event held at the famous Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in the heart of Lagos Island brought many youths and adults together in their numbers. The question which is on many people’ lips that the organisers are not prepared to answer now is “which artistes would make the event at Eko Hotel this year?”. Names like Dbanj, Davido, Wande Coal, Dr Sid, Chuddy K are being mooted in some quarters while some are even speculating if some of the acts that performed last year would stage a return, but time will tell.
This year’s event promises to be fun and the organisers have decided to add new twists to the concert by bringing top music acts for the Friday, November 30, 2012 concert but they have decided to keep mum on the artistes billed to perform for now but the list of the artistes would be revealed by end of the month. Regular concert tickets will be sold at designated stores and tables would also be sold for the concert.

Would the real Duchess of Cambridge please stand up? Heidi Agan, 32, looks so much like Kate Middleton that the mom of two decided to quit her waitressing job at Frankie and Bennie's, a TGIF-like '50s style restaurant chain in England, to work full-time as a royal lookalike. The move made for a significant bump in pay: From $9.75 an hour to about $1,050 per appearance. Take a look at some side-by-side images of Agan and her royal doppelganger.
