Remember the stage play tittle that caused a lot of controversy few years ago? Vagina Monologues (V-Monologues for short) is back.  The V-Monologues is a play made of different monologues, each dealing with various aspects of feminine experience, read by different women. gathered that the play will have a Nigerian identity because they are using real stories submitted by everyday Nigerian women.

The Nigerian version of the international stage production will tell the story of Nigerian woman and their fight against violence.
The Monologues will touch on everything from child abuse, to widowhood, to physical abuse.
Some of the past cast members that brought life to the play  include: Kate Henshaw, Funmi Iyanda, Stella Damasus, Yinka Davies, Bimbo Akintola, Omonor Imobhio, Ashinoye and Tunde Aladese
Viewers of past shows say that the plot is quite similar to the original directed by Eve Ensler in New York.

This years edition will be featuring great Nollywood icons like Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, Iretiola Doyle, Bimbo Akintola and Dakore Eguson-Akande. Also strarring in the play are: Biola Segun-Williams Kemi Lala Akindoju and Rita Edwards. The event will take place at the Agip Recital Hall of the MUSON Centre, Lagos on May 3 and 4, 2013.

The play is a production of Make it Happen Productions in collaboration with the Kudirat Initiative for Democracy (KIND) and is directed by Ifeoma Fafunwa.
