NIGERIA AND AFRICA AS A WHOLE AWAITS THE LAUNCH OF EBONYLIFE TV

Mo Abudu
Mo Abudu‘s TV Network – EbonyLifeTV will go live on Monday 1st of July 2013 at 12am on Channel 165 on DSTV. With the launch just a few days away, there is the promo video for the Network which according to officials of the network, will air as a TV Commercial on CNN International and other media platforms.
The Channel will parade some of the best young faces on Nigerian television, some already popular, some not so popular.
Banky W, Tiwa Savage, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Oreka Godis, Veronica Ebie-Odeka, Zainab Balogun, Dolapo Oni, Lamide Akintobi and a host of other media personalities have TV shows on the network.
A high percentage of Nigerian youth are still not too pleased with Mo, as whenever talks of the anticipated network come up, it is usually accompanied with complains that Mo knew from the inception that she was going to work with already established acts, so there was no need for that farce called auditions she did at Terra Kulture and Eko hotel last year.
According to what bebeakinboade.com gathered, the whole project has cost over N2 billion. Funding for the project include: loan facility from a bank, investments from some friends including billionaire Fola Adeola, Uzoma Onwuchekwa and Lanre Olusola.

Also making a strong presence in the project is the government of Cross River State, financial support from a few banks, which sources say could include First Bank of Nigeria (FBN) and Diamond Bank, MTN,
We are keeping our fingers crossed and hoping the whole arrangement works out and does not end up being another flopped project and waste of resources like Oprahs Winefrey’s OWN network which has lost over $300 million.
