House of Tara crew @ the fashion week
The Lagos Fashion and Design week  which is in its third year commenced yesterday,
Wednesday 23rd of October 2013.Since its inception, the show has
been known for attracting huge crowds from all walks of life including fashion,
entertainment and politics.  During the 2011 and 2012 editions, the makeup
of the models on the runway was handled by none other than Nigerian pioneer
makeup brand: House of Tara.
Bebeakinboade.com gathered that Tara
was paid a huge amount, to the tune of millions of Naira, but sources from the
House of Tara camp say it was a mutually beneficial partnership and House
of  Tara was one of the sponsors of the event.

Whatever the deal, it was clear that Mrs. Durotoye was
extremely glad to be on board the show. House of Tara is known for having the
zeal to identify with big fashion shows, as they were the official makeup
artist at the Arise fashion Week 2012.

The House of Tara Brand stood out throughout the
2012 Fashion & Design week and their presence was felt on the runway and
throughout the entire show. From Day 1 to Day 4, the make-up artistes for House
of Tara worked tirelessly with a sense of alacrity. Each female model was
transformed beautifully by the make-up sessions carried out by the HOT staff.
Personally speaking, the models with refreshingly striking looks.

Followers of the LFDW would have been expecting to
see House of Tara stands and banners at the 2013 fashion week but rather,
received a shocker when it was announced that HOT was no longer on board, but
the contract to handle the makeup of the models was won be New York based Make
up brand; Maybelline.
Maybelline
The Maybelline New York brand was invented in 1914 and currently
sponsors 14 Fashion Weeks across the world including the prestigious Mercedes
Benz Fashion Week in New York.
Apart from partnering with the LFDW, Maybelline will also formally launch in the Nigerian market in October 2013.

From all indications, it looks the Maybelline brand has more to offer
LFDW than House of Tara does and the LFDW organizers will do all it takes to be
identified with an international beauty brand of great repute.
