Tumisola ladega is one fashion
designer that stands out for a number of reasons; the most remarkable being her
tender age. 15 year old Tumisola is the brain behind the fashion label
‘Tumiila’. The Tumiila line caters for a wide range of clothes from ready to
wear couture to avant guard. Tumisola love to use bold colours and patterns in
her designs. She also uses extensively a range African wax prints.
Tumisola confesses to wanting to be
a designer since the age of 6 and started drawing designs when she was 7. She
says her mentors are Zac Posen, Alexander McQueen and Gianni Versace. At the
moment, the young Ladega is studying textile and art GCSE, and looks forward to
getting into one of the top three fashion schools in the UK
– Central St Martins College of Arts & Design, Chelsea

London School of Fashion.
Tumisola has started making waves
in her career. She came in 2nd place in the ‘Celebration of Young
Designer Awards’ 2011. In 2012, she also made a collection inspired by
Alexander McQueen and the life under sea and called it ‘Midnight Aqua Marine’ which
showcased in Miami, at the FDE.  In
early 2013, she created her second collection ‘Monochain
which showed at Africa Fashion Week London.
Tumisola’s career is still fresh
but she has had the opportunity to showcase at various fashion shows including:
FDC designer awards, Angle syndrome Awareness Fashion show, Africa Fashion Week
London, Maryland Fahion Week, Mr Africa and London Fashion Finest Fashion Week.

Tumisola Ladega also broke new
grounds when she wowed the audience at Africa Fashion Week London with her
fantastic monochrome statement pieces. She opened the very first round of shows
on 1st August 2013,
wowing the crowd with her imaginative sophisticated collection. Not only were
her designs fabulous and well styled, they were also runway worthy.
This young talent
is striving to pave her way through the fashion industry, demonstrating that
age can be but a number. Her designs speak for themselves, exuding well
executed talent, determination and vision.

 Tumisola is
looking unstoppable having showcased and won awards for her work and it’s
looking like she will make it far indeed. Dare I say she is one to watch and
I’m sure we’ll be seeing more fabulosity coming from this young bundle of
talent.
