Attitude, not aptitude determines your altitude.

Dear friend, you can cultivate a positive attitude by associating with positive people. When you walk with the wise, you become wise, if you keep company with fools, you are head for failure.
The super salesman, Charlie "Tremendous" Jones, once said, “The only difference between who you are today and the person you will be in five years will come from the books your read and the people you associate with."

You see, evil communication corrupts good manners. On the other hand, when you associate with positive people, you being to think positively, feel positive and talk positively.

The uterus is part of a woman's reproductive system. It's a hollow organ in the pelvis. Cancer begins in cells, the building blocks that make up tissues. Tissues make up the uterus and the other organs of the body.
The buildup of extra cells often forms a mass of tissue called a growth or tumor. Tumors in the uterus can be benign (not cancer) or malignant (cancer). Benign tumors are not as harmful as malignant tumors
Cancer cells can spread by breaking away from the uterine tumor. They can travel through lymph vessels to nearby lymph nodes. Also, cancer cells can spread through the blood vessels to the lung, liver, bone, or brain. After spreading, cancer cells may attach to other tissues and grow to form new tumors that may damage those tissues.

When you get a diagnosis of uterine cancer, it's natural to wonder what may have caused the disease. Doctors usually can't explain why one woman gets uterine cancer and another doesn't.However, we do know that women with certain risk factors may be more likely than others to develop uterine cancer. A risk factor is something that may increase the chance of getting a disease.

Studies have found the following risk factors for uterine cancer:
  • Abnormal overgrowth of the endometrium (endometrial hyperplasia): An abnormal increase in the number of cells in the lining of the uterus is a risk factor for uterine cancer. Common symptoms of this condition are heavy menstrual periods, bleeding between periods, and bleeding after menopause.
  • Obesity: Women who are obese have a greater chance of developing uterine cancer.
  • Reproductive and menstrual history: Women are at increased risk of uterine cancer if at least one of the following apply: Have never had children, Had their first menstrual period before age 12, Went through menopause after age 55
  • History of taking estrogen alone: The risk of uterine cancer is higher among women who used estrogen alone (without progesterone) for menopausal hormone therapy for many years.
  • History of taking tamoxifen: Women who took the drug tamoxifen to prevent or treat breast cancer are at increased risk of uterine cancer.
  • History of having radiation therapy to the pelvis: Women who had radiation therapy to the pelvis are at increased risk of uterine cancer.
  • Family health history: Women with a mother, sister, or daughter with uterine cancer are at increased risk of developing the disease. Also, women in families that have an inherited form of colorectal cancer (known as Lynch syndrome) are at increased risk of uterine cancer.
Many women who get uterine cancer have none of these risk factors, and many women who have known risk factors don't develop the disease.

Then I moved back home and met this young man who was all messed up and I became involved with him, and I married him and had two children. That was a bad marriage with no love in it. After three years he left me for another woman and my children and I moved far away from there and back to where my parents lived again.
My parents bought me a trailer home to live in and I moved into a trailer park to raise my two boys. I was very lonely and still lost, and went out looking for love in all the wrong places again. I went to a bar to meet men to try and find someone who would love me and want to spend their life with me.
I found out eventually, that most of them were married and I would drop them. But there were single men too, and they were all messed up, just as I was.

I got in trouble again and got pregnant. I was so scared that my parents would reject me that I looked around and found information on how and where I could get an abortion. Than I went and got one and it ruined what was left of my life for the next 25 years until I could finally accept Jesus forgiveness.
And now I still live with the regret that he didn’t get a chance to live his life and I didn’t get to raise him. When you sin like that you will always have the extra baggage of what you did. It won’t be ever be completely gone.

I had met a man at that bar I was going to, (who is still my husband) who eventually came to love me enough to marry me and accept my two boys too; and although the marriage was turbulent for the first 10 years or so, he stuck with me. Our marriage got better and better through the years.
Some time in those years my past came up in my mind and I couldn’t stop eating but I didn’t know at the time why until I went for counseling for the problem, as I mentioned before.
It wasn’t long as I went in for counseling again that I became childlike and was playing with dolls and I had a bear that I really was attached to and even slept with him and other dolls. I found some life-like fur dolls that had eyes that looked just like a child and they became my inner children in my mind. They each had a name and I felt that they had had a role in my childhood to help me survive and make it through; and that they still were helping me cope with life at that time.

One was about 3, another 9 and another 12 and another a teenager, and they all had names. I knew what role each child had in my life. This was Jesus’ way of helping me cope until I found Him and got saved, and than He took over and healed me so that I would look to Him for everything from then on. There was no longer an awareness in me of any inner children.
I hadn’t been allowed to be a little girl, so now I was kind of reliving my childhood, only at my family’s expense.
I had a husband and young children to raise. It wasn’t the greatest thing to be doing; reliving my childhood. I was also remembering some of the abuse and I would lie on the floor and scream this high pitched scream that expressed the intense pain I was in. It seemed like the pain was so intense that it would never end! It felt like it would go on and on, and it did go on for a long time each time that I would go down on the floor as close to being under the bed as I could get and scream.
You can only imagine what it was like for my husband to find me like that! He put up with a lot! More than most men and yet he stayed for the duration of all that I went through!

Supermodel Oluchi (first winner of face of Africa) posted on her Instagram page her latest acquisition which is the state of the art car 2013 Range Rover Vogue.
Oluchi has surely come a long way. . .from the littered streets of Ayilara in Surulere, Lagos to the glittery runway of the world's fashion capitals. I'd say she deserves it all and some more.

Cervical Cancer has taken over from breast cancer as the No 1 Cancer killer in women. This is according to a research conducted by the Cervical Cancer Action Global Alliance and Dr Mike Chirenje, a professor at the University of Zimbabwe. It is also a cancer caused by a sexually transmitted virus called human papilloma virus. Cervical Cancer is a slow growing cancer; it has a pre-cancer stage which can be identified through screening. Hence its one of the few cancers that can be fully prevented. BOLA AKINBOADE-BELLO had a chat with Dr Matilda Kerry, ex-beauty queen and founder of the George Kerry Life Foundation; she reveals the risk factors and ways to prevent Cervical Cancer.

CANCER of the cervix can occur at any age. It is found most often in women older than 35 years, but can occur in younger women. Your risk for cancer of the cervix depends on your sexual history, your immune system, your health, and your lifestyle.
You have an increased risk if you:
·        Have not been getting routine cervical screening tests
·        Have had sex with more than one person or have a male sexual partner who has had sex with more than one person (the more partners you have, the higher the risk)
·        First had sex at an early age (younger than 18 years)
·        Have a male sexual partner who has had a sexual partner with cervical cancer
·        Smoke
·        Have Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection

Charles Oputa(CB), popularly known as Area Father, an unashamed smoker, has quit smoking. He had been addicted to cigarettes since he was 16 years old.
Some of his friends and fans were said to have been stunned at a recent function when Charly Boy arrived at the venue of the said event without holding his smoke. While some were said to be happy seeing a reformed CB, others were of the opinion that it was one of his tricks to arrest people’s attention. But in a swift response to people’s insinuations, CB said that he had since parted with smoking and that he did not pray to go back to the bad habit.  He said further that he never thought he could stop, saying that if he could stop smoking, he could do other things that appear difficult to him over the years.
One major factor that prompted his decision to quit the habit is health related. According to Charly Boy, “I hated how some smokers smelled when they come around me. I didn’t want to walk around with such offensive odour even when I chew a lot of gum and made sure I wear my perfume each time I smoked. I actually quit because I was becoming a health freak and I always wanted to smell clean at all times.
