Pop star Miley Cyrus has been chosen by her 'fashion mentor' Marc Jacobs to front his eponymous brand's spring/summer 2014 campaign. This is Miley’s first major fashion campaign and it looks like it’s going to be a good year for Miley.
Shot by fashion photographer David Sims, Miley is seen on a sandy beach with two models - Natalie Westling and Esmerelda Seay Reynolds - in what looks almost like a post-apocalyptic scene.

The ads were styled by LOVE magazine editor-in-chief Katie Grand, who also put Miley on the latest cover of her publication.
But why did they chose the 21-year-old twerking celebrity phenomenon?

"We all just love her and her entire being, her energy, her talent, her intelligence, everything. There's nothing I don't like about her. She is just genuine and very natural," says Jacobs, adding that he became friends with her through his business partner, Robert Duffy.
It's not the first time Miley has been a campaign star for the designer though. She took part in his 'Protect The Skin You're In' movement, stripping off to appear on a T-shirt supporting the skin cancer awareness charity.
