Award-winning actor and movie producer Desmond Elliot is contesting for a seat in the  Lagos State House of Assembly  in the fast approaching 2015 elections under the umbrella of the All Progressive Congress, APC. He is one of Nigeria's hottest actors. A couple of years back, Desmond, having conquered the silver screen as an actor veered into movie production and directing and within a short while carved another niche for himself. Motivated  by his meteoric rise and success in Nollywood, the actor has announced his decision to contest for office.

Anthony Olanrewaju Awotoye popularly known as Tony Tetuila will be running for a seat in the Kwara State House of Assembly under APC.

Tony Tetuila was one of the hottest music stars in Nigeria. He hasn’t done much music of late but has managed to keep himself relevant.

Award-winning actress, Kate Henshaw, is not left out of the 2015 political race. She is contesting for the Federal House of  Representatives for Calabar Munical/Odukpani Federal Constituency under the PDP platform. Kate officially unveiled her campaign on the 19th of July on

She might be a 'JJC' in the naija political scene, considering the challenges of running for political office in Nigeria. However, she seems determined and her eyes remain fixed on the Calabar Municipal/Odukpani constituency slot.

Gongo Aso crooner, Abolore Akande, known as 9Ice officially made public his intent to contest for the House of Representatives seat for Ogbomosho North/South/Orire Federal Constituency of Oyo State in the February general election of 2015.
The singer popularly called 9ice has gone to his hometown to kick start his political campaign. The Alapomeji crooner has released his political campaign poster. He is contesting under APC (All Progressive Congress) party using his birth name, Abolore Akande.

Comedian ,Julius Agwu is vying for the post of Rivers state Governor come 2015. He explains his reasons for going into politics and what he hopes to change if he wins. On reports that he is running for governor:

Yemi Solade
Popular Yoruba actor, Yemi Solade is contesting for a seat in the Senate on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Yemi,who is currently the interim chairman of the newly floated TAMPAN announced he would run for political office via his twitter account where he shared his campaign poster.

KSB, who is also the Vice President of Kennis Music, said the APC was the only party that gave newcomers the chance of running for political office without discrimination.

The artiste, who recently declared her intention to contest the Lagos State House of Assembly elections, said this at an event to unveil her transformation plan for the people of Ikeja Constituency 1, which she hopes to represent should she win the election in 2015.

The Anambra state born actor has declared his intention to run for for a seat at the Anambra State of Assembly in 2015.

The actor will be contesting on the platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA)….
The actor is currently the Senior Special Adviser on Nollywood and entertainment to Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano.

Popular Yoruba actress, Funke Adesiyan, is another entertainer vying for politi­cal office in 2015. She is running for the Ibadan South-East constituency slot in the Oyo State House of Assembly most likely on the APC platform. Friends and fans of the actress flooded social media recently with posters of the actress after she sent out a blackberry broadcast. Funke has featured in several blockbuster movies and a couple of soap operas.

Living in Bondage star, Kenneth Okonkwo, is not left out of the race for elective office in 2015. The lawyer turned-actor and movie producer has wrapped up plans to join the race anytime soon.
The veteran actor has declared his interest to represent Nsukka/Igboeze South Federal Constituency at the National Assembly on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Jibola Dabo
Jibola Dabo is another Nollywood actor warming up for 2015; he plans to contest for the Federal House of Representatives under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Jibola has made known his intentions to represent Owo/Ose Federal Constituency in Ondo State.

Clem Ohameze
Clem Ohameze is another actor geared to run for office in 2015; he is eyeing the Federal House of Representatives.
