Embattled
President of FIFA, Mr. Sepp Blatter has resigned over the bribery scandal
rocking the soccer body. Blatter has called for fresh elections to elect a new
President. Blatter, who was re-elected for a fifth term last week, has called
for an emergency FIFA congress to be held as soon as possible.

an emergency press conference hastily organised in Zurich, FIFA’s headquarters,
he said, “I felt compelled to stand for re-election, as I believed that this
was the best thing for the organization. That election is over, but FIFA’s
