President
Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Sunday finally moved into
the Presidential Villa, Abuja three weeks after they took the oath of office. The
President and his deputy had operated from the Defence House because of the
renovation works at the Villa.
The wives of
the leaders had taken possession of the official quarters of the first and
second families since Friday and supervised the moving in of their personal
effects. The President was away visiting his home state of Katsina over the
weekend while the Vice President was in Lagos where he attended a wedding
ceremony.

President
Buhari returned to Abuja on Saturday, while Vice President Osinbajo returned on
Sunday, according to villa sources.
President
Buhari, who has only made two appointments since he assumed office (naming two
spokesmen), is expected to make some key announcements this week since he has
formally moved into the seat of power, where all Nigerian leaders since Ibrahim
Babangida have governed the oil-rich nation from.
