The MTN Project Fame is back and hotter! Interestingly, this year edition has a new dance choreographer, Lovette Otegbola who took over from Kaffy who has been the choreographer for years. Lovette is a dance teacher and educator with great skills and qualities. She started her professional dance career after a university education at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State.

In 1999 she joined the famous Gospel dance club, Spirit of David (SOD), while in the university. After graduating and Youth service, she then joined The Society for the Performing arts in Nigeria (SPAN) where she studied professional dance in different dance styles and served as a trainee instructor, full time dance instructor, Head of Dance Academy, Head of Drama Academy and Head of Productions and Presenting House.

In the period of 8 years after graduation she has carved a niche in the Nigerian Dance industry and becoming a face associated with some Television shows in Nigeria and stage productions; some of which include Celebrity Takes 2 (Sponsored by Skye bank and produced by Spirit of David), Let’s Dance Nigeria (MNET), Maltina Dance All family show, currently a brand ambassador with Guinness Africa, (in the new Made of Black campaign) to mention a few.

She is a three-time winner of National Couples Dance Championship organized by Spirit of David GDC in Nigeria. Her dance education includes; Classical Ballet, contemporary/lyrical ballet, Creative Dance technique, Salsa, Modern, Modern Jazz, Contemporary, 5 Latin dance styles, 5 Ballroom styles, Nigerian indigenous dances, Bollywood, Tap, Hip-Hop, House, Argentine Tango to mention a few.

She has studied dance with teachers from all over the world (France, United States of America, South Africa, Russia, Nigeria, Kenya, Burkina Faso, Ghana, etc.), has travelled to study, to teach and perform several times.
Lovette has choreographed and been part of hundreds of performances within and outside Nigeria
She is the CEO and Artistic Director of Lovette’s BITS. BITS simply means Bringing It Totally Special, she is passionate about dance education, improving skills in children and creating opportunities to young people looking at exploring dance as a full time career.

Also on reason why Kaffy is absent from this year’s event, this is her response from her  INSTAGRAM page: kaffydance : ‘I am not on Pf anymore. Being on D show and doing what I do there is a way of life and I will miss it. I have a lot of projects’.
