Lemons are an effective ingredient in natural skin lightening recipes.
And, of course I am sure I will share a recipe for you to test...
Lemons contain a very high level of Vitamin C,and you see,
Vitamin C is one of the purest all natural anti-oxidants there is. In this article, BOLA AKINBOADE-BELLO presents to you how Lemons work for Skin Lightening.
Let me explain something first...

Melanin is responsible for the color of your skin. When you are in the sun and become darker, this  is because your body has produced more melanin, making your skin darker.
If you have dark patches of skin, this is because those areas
contain a higher level of melanin for one reason or another, such as  over exposure to the sun in certain areas.

Pure natural anti-oxidants, which, remember Vitamin C is among the purest, when applied to your skin reduce the melanin formation.

This means that with regular usage your skin will become lighter and lighter, and that is not the only benefit.

Vitamin C also acts as an astringent to your skin, which means it constricts your skin and pores. So while you are lightening your skin, lemons will also tighten your skin and pores leaving it looking much younger.

Lemons also contain a high level of citric acid ,whichis excellent to add to your favorite exfoliation recipes. Citric acid is one of the 5 alpha-hydroxy acids that contain the necessary properties to break
the bond between your dead skin cells and the fresh layer below, which is the goal of exfoliating.
So next time you are exfoliating,
add a little lemon juice to your mixture for an added boost.

2 tablespoons of honey
4 teaspoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 teaspoons of plain greek yogurt
1 egg white

Mix the above ingredients in a bowl with a wire whisk until it thickens.

Make sure your face is clean and dry...apply 1-2 tablespoons of the mixture to your face.

Let it sit for 15 minutes, rinse with warm can refrigerate what is left for up to a week.
