Cameroun’s Issa Hayatou, who has been President of the Confederation of
African Football (CAF) since 1988, has been appointed Acting President of FIFA
following the 90-day provisional bans of President Sepp Blatter and Michel
Platini by FIFA’s ethics committee over allegation of corruption.
The provisional ban of the two can be extended to a maximum of 135 days
before the ethics committee must take further action.
Hayatou was born on August 9, 1946.
