Former Delta State governor and one-time Senator of Federal Republic of
Nigeria, Olorogun Felix Ibru is dead. Felix Ibru, younger brother to the
founder of the famous Ibru organization, Michael Ibru died at the age of 80
years old after a brief illness.

Before his death, Ibru was President General of the Urhobo Progressive
Union (UPU). He was a trained architect with vast experience working with
Israeli company.

His political life began in 1983 when he ran for a seat in the Senate but
lost only to win the 2003 Senatorial elections for Delta Central. He ran for
the Governorship of Delta State in 1991 and emerged as the First Executive
Governor of the newly created Delta State in 1992.
