Do you know that wine and weight loss go hand-in-hand. Looking to shed a few pounds? According to science, some nighttime wine might just be the solution. Studies revealed that there’s a polyphenol called resveratrol in red wine that transforms and converts "white fat" into "beige fat." (The latter is easier to burn off.)

OK, so what’s the significance of night wine, you ask? Yet another study found that resveratrol also helps suppress your appetite, you’re much less likely to raid the fridge for a late-night snack. Snacking in the evening is a common cause of weight gain.

As is always the case, the trick is moderation. While having a glass or two before bed is a good substitute for going crazy on chocolate snacking, drinking too much wine can leave you consuming more calories than a late night binge, and leave you feeling pretty hungover for work. Stick to 1-2 glasses if you want to curb your hunger, sleep better, and feel less deprived.

However, if you are not inclined to a bottle of wine at night, other major sources of resveratrol include blueberries, strawberries and obviously grapes. Cheers to that!
