LOVE GONE SOUR : AMBER HEARD TO DIVORCE JOHNNY DEPP
After just 15 months of marriage, Amber Heard has filed for divorce from Johnny Depp. The actress, who met Depp while filming The Rum Diary in 2010, cited irreconcilable differences for the split, and has listed the separation date as Sunday May 29.
Depp is said to have asked a judge to reject Heard’s claim for spousal support. The couple reportedly never signed a prenup, meaning there is no way of knowing who will get what assets.
The separation comes just days after the death of Depp’s mother, Betty Sue Palmer, on Friday May 20.
The couple were married in February 2015 at their home in LA, with a celebration taking place shortly after in the Bahamas, after becoming engaged on Christmas Eve 2014.
