Tina Turner was born in Tennessee on November
26 1939.
she has won 8 Grammy Awards and in 2008 her “50th
Anniversary Tour” became one of the highest selling ticket tour for 2008 and
2009. The diva turned 73 on November 26 2012.
It’s been quite a while since she’s spent any time in the public eye, but she’s
back and on the cover of Vogue at the age of 73 and she looks amazing!
In 1990, after a farewell tour, Tina Turner retired from the public eye. She
lives in Switzerland now, with her longtime
partner Erwin Bach.
Tina’s appearance on the April cover of German ‘Vogue’ makes her the oldest
cover model for the magazine, replacing actress Meryl Streep who appeared on
the cover of ‘Vogue’ at the age of 62.
The Vogue cover was shot by the duo of Claudia Knoepfel and Stefan Indlekofer
and styled by Nicola Knels.
