UK PRIME MINISTER BORIS JOHNSON WELCOMES BABY BOY
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his fiancee Carrie Symonds have announced the arrival of their “healthy baby boy” on Wednesday morning. Their spokesperson said, the family are “extremely excited” and both mother and baby are “doing really well” after birth at a London hospital.
Boris Johnson is believed to have been present during birth; and after birth, he returned to work at No 10. However, a spokesperson for Downing Street said the PM would take a short period of paternity leave later this year.
At the end of February, the couple revealed that they were expecting a baby in “early summer” and were engaged at the end of last year.
The baby is the first child of Ms Symonds, while Boris Johnson and his second wife Marina Wheeler already have four grown-up children: Lara, Milo, Cassie and Theodore.
