JANET JACKSON IS NAMED CRUELLEST CELEBRITY OF THE YEAR
Janet Jackson has been named and shamed an anti-fur campaign by an animal rights group. PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) have branded Janet Jackson their first ever Grinch of the Year for her involvement designing a collection for fur fashion label Blackglama. The anti-fur group have long had Janet Jackson on their hit list, contacting her numerous times over the past decade in an attempt to curb her fondness for wearing animal skins.
This time, they did not mince their words.
In a harsh condemnation referring to the singer’s well-documented nipple exposure at the 2004 Super Bowl, PETA said: ‘When Janet Jackson had her infamous wardrobe malfunction during Super Bowl XXXVIII, at least what popped into view of 170 million onlookers belonged to her, unlike the animal skins she drapes herself in, which are as dead as her fashion taste and her career.’
