RAPPER EMINEM IS THE FIRST PERSON TO REACH 60 MILLION FACEBOOK FANS
Eminem has become the first person to reach 60
million fans on Facebook. The 32-year-old star reached the milestone yesterday,
when his ‘likes’ totted up 60,093,667 on the social networking site. According
to social media tracker site Star Count, the rapper – who is the first
celebrity to reach such a number on the site – has attracted a staggering
195,000 fans alone in the past week.
Eminem is also in fourth place on YouTube, having racked up over 2 billion
views on his channel, although he is still some way behind Lady Gaga on
Twitter.
Eminem first took the title of most popular celebrity on Facebook in 2011, when
he eclipsed Michael Jackson’s number of ‘likes’.
However, the rapper has a competitor in his Love The Way You Lie
collaborator Rihanna, who is not far behind him with 59,381,829 ‘likes’ –
substantially closing the gap between them, which has shrunk from 5million to
just 700,000 in the last couple of years.
