ZARA GRETTI: A TRIBUTE TO A RAPPER/SINGER

I was so sad to
learn, via social media that Margaret-Mary Joseph popularly known as Zara
Gretti had passed on at 28 on Friday March 28, 2014. More so when the talented
artiste appeared to be recuperating from Multiple Sclerosis – a disease which
affects the brain and the spinal cord.
Over the last 2
years, Zara had chronicled her painful MS journey via social media pages
including instagram and twitter. She recently shared that she could no longer
walk and could barely sleep. It is clear that the talented young musician was
in a lot of anguish yet she maintained a positive disposition.
Zara Gretti is a
Nigerian-American. During her life span, she shuttled between Nigeria and the
United States but was born in Lagos, Nigeria twenty.
Having spun in the
arms of various art forms; namely dance, theatre, and fashion (modeling,
styling, make-up), she discovered the artiste in her when she walked into a
recording studio in 2006. She was a rapper/singer who loved to express herself
as a performer. She is known for her hit songs; “The Flyest”, “Aboko ku”, and
“Teno”.
