Owumi Ugbeye was
born and brought up in Lagos. She attended Pampers Private School, Queens
College Lagos and RISS Maryland. She has a degree is in Foreign Languages from
the University of Benin, Nigeria. In her teen years, Owumi took a shine to
performance and she participated in drama sketches (television and stage) for
her mother’s theatre company.

chocolate and shoes. She is best known for her role in ‘Shuga’ the series where
she played Bikiya, her first professional acting job.
